Nigerian Music Industry, next Center Stage of the World – Dauda (Hi-Speed)

Fast rising musician, Suleiman Dauda, says the Nigerian music industry will become the center stage and a major economic hub to the world soonest.

Dauda with the stage name “Hi Speed” made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.

He said that Nigerian artists have made remarkable strides in the global music industry and this recognition has even drawn the attention of ace international artist to collaborating with them.

Dauda said the recent Grammy awards received by his colleagues like Burna boy, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid shows the development and feat the Nigerian music has attained in the past years,

He however noted that artist like himself through music have been able to pass several messages to foster peace, love and entertain Nigerians and the world in general.

Dauda said his new singles which would be out in a couple of weeks is also a hit which would bring more entertainment to listeners, with strong messages that would further unify Nigerians at these times.

“The Nigerian Music industry is really doing great now and we can see that with the recognistion of several big international artists collaborating with our own artists.

“In the recent Grammy Award, we saw Burna boy, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid brought back the awards, this is a win to all of us artists and Nigerians generally.

“The Nigerian music industry has contributed a lot to Nigeria’s economy, especially at a time the nation is trying to diversify beyond oil for generating income.

“I see the Nigerian music industry as the next center stage of the world and it would make Nigeria rank amongst the world economic hub”, Dauda said.

Dauda listed circumstances happening around as his greatest inspiration to going into music, adding that through music he intends to play his own part in nation building and fostering peace and unity in Nigeria.

He however said capital and piracy remains a major challenge to the Nigerian music industry, explaining that there are a lot of talents on the streets without access to finances to help them develop their work.

He also said the increased rate of piracy is also disheartening as artists can barely get good proceeds from their hard work.

The Kogi- State born musician however called on government to create platforms through which artist can gain financial grants, this he added would help take a lot of youths of the street.

Dauda noted that when the youths are taken off the streets, it would go a long way in reducing crime and the current insecurity in the country.

Hi-speed is initially a music duo which consists of two brothers, Dauda and Abdulrazak Idris, but unfortunately, Idris died two years ago leaving Dauda , the half duo to continue with the name.
